Originally from North East Scotland, I was educated in Scottish Language and Literature at Glasgow University.
I have a deep understanding of how to make language work in different contexts, rooted in my education and experience. My success comes from adapting my words to mirror how people actually communicate, whether on social media, in person, or when launching a new product to market. I am fluent in Swedish and was once fluent in Spanish. In 2015 I attended Forward/Story in Costa Rica, an invite-only lab for storytellers working in unchartered territories. In 2008 I was awarded a Peter Kirk Travel Scholarship to examine the notion of duende in Flamenco culture and contemporary art in Spain.
